DETROIT – Nov. 10, 2022 –The Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan (BGCSM) recently added three new executive hires: Shon Dorsey as chief operations officer, Alise Dixon as chief program officer and Esther Kyte as vice president of resource development. Dorsey and Dixon join the BGCSM team from Boys & Girls Clubs of America, bringing national expertise that will continue to drive growth and innovative opportunities for youth and communities throughout southeastern Michigan.

Alise Dixon brings over 14 years of programmatic strategy and development experience to BGCSM with her most recent experience as the national director of quality improvement & member engagement at Boys & Girls Clubs of America. There she led a variety of initiatives designed to support Clubs across the country as they developed and implemented continuous quality improvement strategies within their organization. She also supported National Youth of the Year, National Keystone Club, National Trainers Initiative, and a variety of quality improvement efforts. She brings expertise in the organization’s programmatic strategy creation and implementation rooted in ensuring all young people leave the Clubs prepared to be career, start-up, and homeowner ready.
Shon Dorsey is a former Club kid from Austin, Texas, and brings extensive experience in youth development and leadership, having worked at organizations such as United Way, YMCA and Boys & Girls Clubs of America. For more than a decade, much of his work has focused on building strong non-profits through strategy consulting, operational design and organizational development. He brings to BGCSM a personal commitment to build communities and strong Clubs so that youth have a chance to realize their own purpose and potential.
Esther Kyte has an extensive background working with companies and foundations on their social impact and giving strategies. She has consulted with companies on issues ranging from helping to build an ethos of sustainability into their supply chains to setting up successful social impact programs. She comes to BGCSM from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, where she served as Managing Director at the Center for Positive Organizations and spent a number of years as a director at the Clinton Global Initiative in New York and senior program officer at the Global Philanthropy Forum in San Francisco.
